Amy Allen was born in Burbank, California.
At the age of 18, she moved from Los Angeles to San Francisco. After graduating, she went to work for ILM. As a Production Assistant, she worked on several films, including Gangs of New York, before going to work on Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones.
Was an employee at Lucasfilm when she was selected to play Aayla Secura, the female Twi'Lek Jedi from the Dark Horse Comic books. Reportedly, George Lucas saw the character on the cover of a comic and was so impressed he wanted to add her digitally into Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones.
