She started her career in Prince's huge movie success Purple Rain and then moved on to appear in the night-time soap Falcon Crest for a ten-week guest stint. In 1988 she released her debut album as a singer and continued to star in other movies, such as Back to Back with Bill Paxton and Black Magic Woman with Mark Hamill.
