Armande Assanti was born October 4, 1949. Armand is the son of an Irish mother and an Italian father. Contrary to many popular beliefs, he was born in New York City. He first gained attention as Sylvester Stallone's brother in Paradise Alley (1978). He has been in comedies but also made dramatic roles part of his career. Genuine screen stardom seems to have eluded him, but in recent years, Assanti has racked up some impressive performances in both starring and supporting roles. Armand lives on a 225 acre farm in upstate New York. He is separated from his wife and has two children.
