Casper Robert van Dien was born on December 18,1968 in Ridgefield, NJ. Though he went to Florida State from 1986 to 1988, majoring in pre-med, he became interested in acting and moved to Los Angeles. He quickly landed TV series parts as Griffin Stone in Beverley Hill 90210 (1990) and Ty Moody in One Life to Live (1993). He hit the big time, however, in Starship Troopers (1997) and hasn't looked back! He is married to Carrie Mitchum, Robert Mitchum's granddaughter, and they have a son, Casper, who is now the 12th Casper van Dien in the family line!
