Dylan McDermott was born in Waterbury, Connecticut on October 26, 1961. Dylan is a man with an interesting history. His parents split when he was very young, then his mother was accidentally killed by her boyfriend while he was cleaning his gun. Raised by his grandmother and later his step-mother, Dylan became an angry young man with a drinking problem. His step-mom encouraged him to take up acting and go to Fordham University in NYC. At age 23, he quit drinking. He met his wife, Shiva Rose, at a coffee shop in Venice, California on the same day that he got his first big break by being selected for the Clint Eastwood film In The Line Of Fire. Then, through his connection with Clint, he met Jeffrey Kramer - who had him interview for The Practice - where you can now see him.
