Kevin Anderson was born January 13, 1960 in Waukeegan, Illinois. This up and coming actor caught critics' attention with his performance in 1987’s Orphans , a role he originated on stage with Chicago's Steppenwolf Company, and then played on New York's Theatre Row. Anderson followed this by appearing in several little-seen movies before attaining box-office success as the college drama professor in Sleeping With the Enemy . He has many stage credits, including the Broadway (and later TV) production of "Orpheus Descending" opposite Vanessa Redgrave. In 1993 he won the William Holden part in the London stage production of Andrew Lloyd Webber's musical version of "Sunset Boulevard." He was nominated for a 1999 Tony Award for Best Featured Actor in a Play. Also in 1999, he won the Drama Desk and Outer Critics Circle Awards for Outstanding Featured Actor in a Play.
